Fortune presents gifts not according to the book a.k.a. in power we entrust the love advocated

Check out these awesome pics sent to me from Sasha Trayvor! The template has been enlarged to fill four sheets of paper. As if that wasn’t clever enough, Sasha then mixed and matched the halves from two separate models! Thats very cool, I wish I had thought of it, hehe. Thank you so much for sharing your Frankenpunx!

Now, going in the opposite direction is our good friend Stevo! with his micro series four set! Has punk rock ever been so adorable? I think not! It’s cutepunk! Thanks for sharing my friend.^^ Click the image for a much larger and wider version!
Oh yeah, I almost forgot…
Boxpunx series five number twenty four finale: ZOHAR. File this one under fan art. Now I gotta go back and make a blank template so I can do a designer series of nothing but ZOHARS. That’s never going to happen.
Here’s a cinema from Xenosaga episode one featuring our friend, the ZOHAR. The weirdness starts at about 4 minutes in.
Listen to this. It’s DEAD CAN DANCE with “Fortune Presents Gifts Not According The Book”. I love it, and I imagine you will too. The video is complete darkness. Literally.
One more, this is “In Power We Entrust The Love Advocated”. I love music that gives me chills, don’t you?

Boxpunx series five number twenty three: Space Cowboy. I bet you were expecting the big robot. This is the pilot. I will save the mecha for when the images of the completed models are ready. I like the idea of saving at least one surprise. The good news is I have completed assembly of all the models. I am looking at series five scattered about my bedroom floor right now. My wrist is happy.
We plan to get the images taken and website up this monday, tuesday and wednesday. I am excited, as usual. The lesson I learned when building this set was to make sure the paper you are using is not TOO thick. They all turned out nice, but since the paper wasn’t very flexible, it was tricky at times to get everything to fit the way it should. My suggestion: use something less than 100 lbs, but try to get close to that number. If anyone cares, I don’t use printer paper, I use drawing paper, the kind that says “for pen and ink” on the cover. They don’t make these pads in 8.5 X 11, so I have to cut each piece down. The upside is vibrant sturdy models. The downside is finding a consistent weight. 70-90 lbs. seems to be the best range, with 70-80 being preferable, 80 lbs. being ideal it seems.
Now that all my models are built, after I get home tomorrow I need to sift through email. I recieved a staggering amount while I was temporarily disconnected during the move, and have been procrastinating. So if I haven’t responded, give me one more day, ok? ^^
In between cutting and folding paper, I having been playing Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2. I am having a lot of fun with it, and it is quite addictive, it’s a wonder I was able to finish the models, I kept wanting to fight one more battle and max out one more skill! For the people reading this that are either playing or finished with it, I really like the “clan trial” battles. So much variety in what is needed to succeed. One of the battles I liked was the “examine the magic barrel ‘X’ amount of times”, I just couldn’t stop doing it, it was both fun and challenging! I managed to successfully complete the “examine it 5 times” one, after doing it like 20 times, haha.
I am still working my way thru a few console games, not to mention the FFIV DS remake, which I am in no hurry to finish. I played the gameboy advance updated edition only like a year ago. But is it easy to play one of my all time favorite games over and over. What little I have seen of the DS version ( I am like 6 hours in, but that translates into like 20 hours of re-dos and re-tries, because playing it on high speed active battle can be tough!) there is enough there for any fan of the original to enjoy yet one more trek through this magical land. At least until the high definition remake that comes out on the Playstation 4 and the XBOX 720.
The other 4 games I have been playing in segments are Persona 3, Baroque, Chaos Wars, and Soul Nomad. I milk one for a while then move on. The last game I was playing thru was Soul Nomad, so that means it is time for Persona 3. I plan to finish it this time before I start another (not counting DS games, lol) if only to get a FES save game going. Plus Persona 4 is edging closer and closer.
Here are a couple Japanese TV comercials for Persona 4, as well as one for a card game based on Persona 3.
This is also one of my all-time favorites, “Joy” by THE SUNDAYS.
Another good one, this is “Here’s Where the Story Ends”.
One more, this is “You’re Not the Only One I Know”. Unofficial vid. I love this song.

Boxpunx series five number twenty two: Space hero. I have assembled all the models except the four robots (yikes!) and the spaaaaaace coffin. They are cut out, I just need to score and assemble. I think everything in the house is now operational and normal life can continue from this point forward. I am so tired.
This is PLACEBO with “Days Before You Came”.

Boxpunx series five number twenty one: Space vampire hunter. You can’t have space vampires running wild in the galaxy. Someone has to keep them in check. I imagine there are many more hunters, since I am sure there are many more vampires. But here’s one to help keep you safe. If you ever have to travel thru space, at least.
After this post I plan to finally start X-acto~ing the series five models. I still haven’t cut a single one. Since the gas man is coming tomorrow somewhere between 7 am and 7 pm, I figure I can just cut and fold the day away. So hopefully today + tomorrow will be enough time to get them all assembled. The sooner I get this set completed, the sooner we can move onto something new!
I am still in love with the latest album from M83 called “Saturdays = Youth”. I already posted the first single “Graveyard Girl”, here is the new one, “Kim and Jessie”.
Here is an older one, a really nice song, a wonderful fan-made animated video, and a perfect title for this post. “Lower Your Eyelids to Die With the Sun”.
Another older one, this track is so crazy yet so very cool. It’s called “Car Crash Terror”, and I think you are supposed to listen to it in complete darkness to get the full effect.

Boxpunx series five number twenty: Space vampire. I think it speaks for itself. We have moved snugly into our new home. Now it’s time to build and photograph this series. I imagine it will take more than 4 days to complete, so I should have the entire series posted on the blog before any pictures are taken.
I have also come up with what I think is a pretty solid concept for a book. I need to learn more about what options are out there as far as how I can get it published before I design the look of it, but I have some cool ideas to start with. Once I actually nail down how I will ultimately publish it, I might reveal the concept, but until then, I am keeping that a secret.
This is The Dears with “22: The Death Of All The Romance”. Cool video as well. If you like that sort of thing.
This is “End Of A Hollywood Bedtime Story”.
Ok, now I gotta go see what I missed while I was away…
