Life after my bloody valentine
This was sent to me by our good friend Naser Baig, if you click the image you can check out his cousin’s website…she is is running for student council president, and she used my boxpunx to help promote her campaign! Very cool! Thanks Naser, and good luck Nida!
Also, while I was away, I was sent a couple pics for more video game inspired models by a very kind gentlemen by the name of Diogo Sousa. Tell me these aren’t absolutely awesome!
It’s always cool when someone skins one of your models, and even cooler when it is with a subject you like! I really love Metroid, although, I can’t say I beat them, I still play them, hehe, but The Windwaker is my favorite Zelda title, and these “accurate” interpretations look very nice. When and where can you get them? I don’t know! HA! For now, I just have the pics, we shall see what happens…
I have indeed started drawing and building SERIES 7 models. As I have indicated before, these are inspired by things I found interesting, funny, attractive, or just plain cool when I was alive in the seventies. Not everything is FROM the 70s, as somethings I saw in a re-run format, for example, so just think of this set as simply retro. There will be a mix of models that are specifically based on something, and some models that are based on ideas rather than characters. Plus, in typical HARLANCORE tradition, I won’t just be making boxpunx models, there will always be something new.
Since I have been away playing video games like a madman, I figure I would get the ball rolling and release the template for the first duo….here is boxpunx series 7 INNOCENCE AND RAINBOWS number one part one : BRO & SIS. Enjoy!
Oh, and I finally got to see MY BLOODY VALENTINE in concert. It was great, I couldn’t hear a thing for the following three days! It was awesome! Till next time, take care!

Here is my three piece MCK custom. I made a normal DRUKK model, then thought what might happen if I stack them? I also made a boxpunx figure to match, so the FINAL BOSS now has a defender and a healer. My advice: you should probably kill the healer first. If you kill the defender first, the healer will just revive him, which really sucks. This is a tough battle, but if you max out your stats, you can get thru it. Bring plenty of potions and haste feathers. A controller with an auto-fire button helps.

Here is just the healer biomekk template:
Here is a .zip file containing the Boss, the Defender, and the Healer.
A couple more promos:

Also, here is my CALLING ALL CARS model…made while trying to get into a seventies state of mind.

Crazy cool stuff. ^^

At last I have returned. There is a new video card installed and things seem to be working fine again. While I was computerless, I spent quite a bit of time playing Disgaea 2, but I also managed to complete a couple of other things as well.
These are two KidRobot Dunny customs I made just for fun. Click each image to see a larger version:
These were a lot of fun to make, hopefully I will get to make a couple more soon, as I still have a few ideas.
While I was I away, my Star Wars themed “Droid Punx” appeared on the back cover of Italian art magazine BANG ART! There is a .pdf “sample” issue for download at their site. Many of the pages are not completely revealed, but the back cover is, so if you can’t buy this off a European newstand, then go download it!
I also finished building and photographing my MCK DRUKK custom. Hopefully I will posts some images of that tomorrow. I am in the midst of making a model for Horrorwood’s “Calling All Cars!” project.
I also shipped off a box of assorted models to Mobius Gallery in Los Angeles for the “Urban Paper” launch party.
I am unable to be there personally, but if you are in the area check it out! Other great designers will be there, and there will be a lot of models on display.
This is The Death Set with “Intermission”.

The fan on my G5′s video card has finally stopped working and due to fear of overheating, I am presently without a computer. I am posting this on a friends. So, any projects I have agreed to work on will have to be put on hold. I will try to check email on a friend’s machine but there will not be any regularity. Since I am on a Power PC G5, I can’t just go into a computer store and buy a video card, they don’t carry cards for Macs that are a couple years old. Although I could go into a store and buy a video card for 10-year old PC if I wanted too. I have to order one online, thru ebay or something, and of course I am poor as poor could be poor and I have very little money in my paypal account, so I have no idea when I will get a new card.
Either way, until I get a new video card, Boxpunx is on hold.
In the meantime, I figure this is a good time to finish Disgaea 2. See you in the Land of Carnage!
