Party hard

I have decided to make Dollpunx an “endless” series, meaning I am just going to make models as I think of them, and number them as I go. I also plan to start doing Boxpunx in this fashion as well.

Today I bring you Dollpunx 001 and 002, the TERROR TWINS. Enjoy.

The instructions for these guys are the same as the PersonaFAN 4 models. So if you need help, check out the PersonaFAN 4 strategy guide right here:

DOLLPUNX INSTRUCTION MANUAL

I will upload the first couple of Boxpunx “endless” series tomorrow. I have been thinking about the 90s a lot and going back and listening to a lot of the music I adored during that period of my life. I understand now why your parents love really old music. Because it reminds them of the most exciting period in their lives, when they ran wild and free, before the pressure of “taking good care of yourself” began. When the fear of ignoring a rule here and there was at it’s all time low.

I also thought about what if I started making papercraft in the 90s? I imagine I would have probably made models wearing different T-shirts showing off all the wonderful bands I had discovered, and trying to let the world know about them. In those days that idea seemed important to me. This idea of hearing a song so great that you wanted everyone to hear it, so they could feel the same happiness you felt. And that somehow thru this sharing of sound, the earth as whole would improve somewhat.

Now that I am a bit older I realize this idea is kind of silly, but when you are young, sometimes silly things are what get you through the rough times. Some of my favorite things are incredibly silly.

Anyway, expect some new models over the next couple of days.

Vin and I are still contemplating the 80s as well. We have started a list of possible “inspirations”, so there will still be a series 8.

The State on DVD

thestate

One of my favorite sketch comedy shows has finally made it to DVD after waiting like 100 years. If you have never seen this, you owe it to your funny bone to check it out.

No new papercrafts yet, I have been helping a good friend of mine build a website to show off her paintings. Check it out!

I have also been taking new pictures of old models for an upcoming artbook, and even though no new models are completed, I am working on a few customs at the moment, and hopefully I will done with them soon.

Part 2 of PFAN 4 is put on hold for the moment. I have been up to my neck in Shin Megami Tensei and needed to step out of that dark world for a bit. Eventually I will start to miss it, and then that series will be back on track.

One more thing, I appear in the latest issue of COMPUTER ARTS PROJECTS, number 126, but have yet to find a copy of the magazine for myself. Check it out if you see it on the stands!
