I am not sure what the images are on the blanket. You will have to ask Jhonen.

Unfortunately I can’t read any of this stuff, but man, what pretty pictures! Especially the book in the middle full of Kazuma Kaneko’s devil illustrations. Not only is it amazing in it’s style and technical skill, the creativity behind the physical forms these demons take, it’s sometimes completely insane! I love it! There really is nothing like it in all of rpg-dom. It’s so unique. That’s the quality I like about Shin Megami Tensei the most, I am severely attracted to this dark aesthetic and Megaten just seems to capture it the best.

And of course I find the story interesting too, not just the art. Instead of repeating the story of the first Devil Summoner game, I will link to a page that does it so very well. Not only that, after you read that, bookmark the page so you can return and read that entire playthrough of the second game in the series SOUL HACKERS. That is, if ya wanna. The guy who posted the playthrough did a great job and made it a very entertaining read while making sure you got all the relevant elements of the game. Sure it’s lengthy, but if you are interested, this is a good way to experience the game without actually playing it.

I read it and enjoyed it. There are other playthroughs at that site as well. Very cool.

THE STORY OF DEVIL SUMMONER 1 + DEVIL SUMMONER 2 SOUL HACKERS PLAYTHROUGH

Here’s Kyouji Kuzunoha, the main character from Devil Summoner, and Demitri Maximoff, a crazy terrible vampire.

And remember kids, I have nothing to do with the companies who make these games. I am just a fan. One who needs a break from real America sometimes, and what better place to go than imaginary Japan?

Of course you can’t stay there, because some elements are just too nightmarish. A healthy balance is important!

I will let the opening to Devil Summoner play me out. Just in case someone thought I was making this all up, and that this isn’t a real game.

I must admit the dollpunx design did not “wow” me at first, but it is growing on me. I’m more familiar with Darkstalkers, so I will brush up on Devil Summoner for my kids. I would love to see a tutorial on working with your templates because my step-kids are too jaded with the works I have downloaded and made for them and want to see stuff like “Twilight” (ugh…) and Star Wars. I personally would love to see some Dr. Who in the near future.
